The Opportunity
As part of the Finance & Accounts team, you will report to the Manager – Finance & Accounting.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:


Customer Collections Management

  • Allocate collections based on various payment modes to the accounting system.
  • Handle cash or cheque collections and banking.

AR Financial Transactions

  • Handle daily financial transactions including issuing invoices and debit/credit vouchers.
  • Managing used car transfers, customer deposits, and void receipts.
  • Process for the customer refund vouchers.

Collaboration with Operations

  • Liaise with operational staff on receivable matters such as invoicing and collections, providing necessary advice a support.

Currency Revaluation

  • Perform system currency revaluation during month-end closing processes.

Journal Preparation

  • Prepare and post monthly and quarterly receivable journals as part of the month-end closing activities.

Reconciliation Activities

  • Conduct receivable and bank reconciliations at month-end.

Reporting

  • Generate receivable aging reports and analyze by department for month-end closing.
  • Prepare quarterly and yearly consolidated financial packs and tax package schedules.

Stock Taking Participation

  • Participate in quarterly and annual stock takes as required.

Finance Transformation Initiatives

  • Participate in new accounting systems implementation.
  • Take initiative in finance transformation efforts.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects or duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Candidate should possess at least a Diploma or professional qualification in account preferably 3 to 5 years of hands-on accounting experience
  • Fast learner, ability to work independently and within given deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, focused and committed to do your best
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and confidentiality
