The Opportunity

As part of the Finance & Accounts team, you will lead a high-performing team to optimize the accounts receivables function.


Key Responsibilities

  • Empower your team: Guide and motivate a team in delivering accurate and timely invoice postings, customer refunds, collections, and allocations.
  • Financial stewardship: Oversee month-end and year-end closings for accounts receivables, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Risk management: Review and approve customer refunds, order cancellations, service balances, account creation, and credit evaluations to minimize risk.
  • Proactive collections: Conduct quarterly debtors reviews and collaborate with operations and sales teams to maximize collections efficiency.
  • Accuracy and control: Ensure accuracy through monthly bank reconciliations and AR aging analysis.
  • Inventory management: Participate in the annual stocktake process to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Effective communication: Act as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders on accounts receivables inquiries, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Innovation and efficiency: Champion system implementation and process automation initiatives to streamline operations.
  • Embrace challenges: Contribute to ad-hoc projects as assigned, demonstrating your adaptability and problem-solving skills.
Job Requirements

The Candidate

  • Degree in Accountancy or accountancy professional qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience with some experience in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in MS office and experience with accounting software.
  • Meticulous, organized, process driven, a self-starter and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Enjoys working in a high-energy and performance driven environment.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and confidentiality.
  • A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
