The Opportunity

Republic Auto is a proud member of the Jardine Cycle & Carriage Group and, it is one of the leading pre-owned car dealer in Singapore that provides a truly comprehensive range of offerings to meet our customer’s various car needs from pre-sales to after-sales services.  Since our humble beginnings in 2000, we have grown in size and stature over the years, becoming Singapore’s leading certified pre-owned car dealer.  It comes as no surprise that we are SGCarmart’s Premium Dealer consecutively for the past decade. 

Vehicle Sourcing

  • Identify and procure used vehicles through multiple channels (CCS brands' trade-in, direct owners, auctions, dealers, parallel importers).
  • Build and maintain a strong network of salespeople across the industry for sourcing opportunities.

Vehicle Evaluation

  • Conduct on-site inspections of vehicles (mechanical condition, accident history, mileage verification) to provide accurate quotes.
  • Assess market value and resale potential based on current trends.
Pricing & Negotiation
  • Negotiate purchase prices to achieve target margins.
  • Analyze depreciation, PARF value (for Singapore context), and COE implications.
Market Analysis
  • Monitor used car market trends, pricing fluctuations, and demand patterns.
  • Identify high-turnover models and profitable segments.
Inventory Planning
  • Work closely with sales and management teams to maintain optimal stock mix.
  • Ensure fast-moving inventory while minimizing aged stock.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Handle all necessary paperwork related to vehicle purchases and ownership transfers.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Relationship Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with dealers, workshops, auction houses, and direct sellers.
  • Develop repeat sourcing channels.
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience in automotive purchasing, used car sales, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the used car market (especially Singapore context preferred).
  • Understanding of COE, PARF, ARF, and depreciation structures.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to assess vehicle condition accurately.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Experience with auctions and digital car marketplaces.
  • Basic technical knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
